If you've never riden on the streets before, get a dirt bike and have at it to get the feel of a bike, then when your confident that your ready for the street, have at a Suzuki sv650-drz400sm, Kawasaki 250 or Honda 599.

Or what was mentioned previously, scooter.

For a 1st bike anything over 600cc race rep isn't recommended.

You also need to think about insurance, with a bigger bike = more insurance cost.

do they make a 150 cc sportbike?. haha.. reason i ask is cause i am also looking into getting a bike, modding cars is just too expensive for me nowadays but i still want to have some sort of fun. Ive ridden before but only rarely on sportbikes, have ridden plenty of dirtbikes in my day, i dont really want anything super fast, but i love the look of a gsx-R, they are just great looking but i dont even need anything near a 650 or anything like that. I want a low powered bike with a sweet look,id be getting it to ride it and not to worried about it being a monster bike.
