Getting a supermoto plated
I can't seem to find much if there's anything special i should be looking out for, besides basic "motorcyce" equipment mandatory in VA. Are there many hurdles getting a title from MSO if i end up converting a bike? Or plating a motard in general?

Re: Getting a supermoto plated
If it didnt come with a street title, and it is an off road only bike, VA wont title it. Much easier to buy one already titled in this state. Both of these I have titled in VA. The XR came from out of state with a street title. I believe theres a certain spot in the VIN if its a R or a certain letter, its designated as off road only and VA wont issue a street legal title for it. You can still have a title on a off road only bike, but when you go to get plates the computer wont let them issue plates. Much easier to buy a bike with a street title.
Ktm is a little easier then the big 4 jap brands because ktm's MSO doesnt say off road only, so VA will title them. Hence how I have a plated 380 2 stroke.
The XR will be for sale shortly if you know anyone interested.

Re: Getting a supermoto plated
so this is a really lame question, but i can't find the answer anywhere.
Could the written and practical test at the DMV be taken on separate dates, or would they have they have to be completed in the same visit?

WELL....my ex took a coarse that issues a license at the end, and her written and practical tests where on two different days of the week. so i don't see why separate dates wouldn`t be allowed.
