Default Front wheel/handlebar wobble

Noticed this happening recently. If I let go of the handlebars while riding, about 2 seconds afterwords the front starts to wobble back and forth, first slowly, and it speeds up. Any idea's on what to look for?

Front tire needs to be balanced would be my first fix. After that I would assume something is bent.

This is the first time I noticed it, and there have been no accidents, I will have to check the balance. I have also noticed a slight feathering to the front tire, which could be further evidence of it being out of balance. How much do shops generally charge to balance a wheel?

I know balancing on a car usually costs less than 10 bucks. So, I would assume somewhere around that price.

yea should be about 10 bucks... also tires can cup, their carcus gets distorted, if its doing it prematurely it could be from running it with too low of tire pressure for an extended period of time... i'd check your tire pressures for one... what kind of tire, what kind of bike, and how many miles on the tire?
