Fairlady; you just contradicted yourself. Bike doesn't look good; underpowered when compared to a 600RR. Duh; even the first 'race ready' CBR600 was 4-5 years ahead of the F4....even leaving out the race ready part.

But then you stated to not worry about power or looks.......?

BTW: I don't disagree with anything you posted, but remember this guys price range and that he's a first time rider/buyer.

I took the MSF course you were talking about a couple months ago. It was definitely worth the time and money, and best of all you are licensed to operate a bike after it. I'm currently looking for a first bike now, and I think I'm in the market for a supermoto. Although I have also heard the Suzuki SV650 is a great beginner bike as well. Just think about your needs for a bike, and your price range, and you will make a good decision.

Oh... don't get me wrong.. I am worried about power and looks... I was telling him why I didn't like the bike and what he will come to learn when riding. Each person is different and will like different things. I was telling him that he shouldn't get caught up on looks and power.. he needs to make sure hi is on a bike that is comfortable to him. So that he can learn to the best of his ability.

edit...

The FZ6 is a good bike too... simular to the SV bikes... but has a sport bike engine instead of a v-twin.

It has got plenty of scoot to go around, top speed of 140, cheaper insurance, you can usually get one used for about 1500 is great condition, keep their resale value high 50mpg, soft seat, ergonomical riding position, turns fast as a bitch, The list is really endless.

if that seller is honest about the damages then this would be a good deal for a starter bike for you.
