is this a decent starter bike? is it a good deal?
hey guys I found this bike for sale. I don't know alot about bikes yet so I figured I'd post it on here and see what you guys think.. mainly if it sounds like a good deal.

4500 for an 02 with just a couple of mods actually sounds kind of steep. Has it been wrecked, if so how bad, twisted forks, any other portions of the frame damaged, how was it cared for, fluids changed properly, ask those questions.
Then again it has low mileage. Might not be a bad deal.
Side note, there is a mohawk on the helmet, no telling what that bike has been through.

it's been laid down but he replaced all the fairings. said nothing else broke.

They will sometimes say that and try to get over on you, ask him to bring it to you to have it checked out by 2 bike mechanics, the reason i say 2 is just for another opinion. If hes sketch about that there is probably something wrong with it. If its all good, he will have no problems with this, im just trying to give you as many negative situations as possible to make sure you are very thorough in your bike purchase and you dont get ass fucked.

To the OP, don't stop there though, keep looking for the deals before you buy. They are out there, you just have to find them. Visit all the other forums too.

^^^ YEP.. lol... and even if you find your bike, keep looking!... as for THAT bike.. the price may be a bit stees IMO.. but it does have low miles... if that's the bike you want... offer him like about a grand less.. that's what that bike is prob worth... then again, they'll tell you we're in season... i dont give a shock!... if he doens bite just go find another bike.. and believe me.. they're out there.
