So I ran into this guy a few months ago who is a friend of a friend of mine (Tanya) from back in my high school days. This guy sees my bike and tells me he works for this place called Custom Krotch Rockets and hands me a card. So after some talking, I told him I was looking for an undertail kit to clean up the back of the 'busa. He explained that they could get any of them I wanted. Fast forward to 2.5 weeks ago.....
So I called up the place and the guy on the phone (nice guy) walked me through all the ones in the catalog he could get. He got me to the websites so I could look at them too. So I was happy he was taking the time to do that and made me happy up front and I made my order and gave him my credit card number. (This is where things go wrong) I thought they were going to drop ship it to me, but the supplier only ships to the company's address that is doing the ordering. I was like, ok. I'm going to be up there for a wedding in two weeks. Will it be there? He reassures me that it will be there in a week. Fine. So a week goes by and I call to confirm that it is there. The guy that answers the phone has no idea what I am talking about. I then give him the full description of what it was that I purchased. His response was "It came to the Richmond store and I didn't know what it was so I sent it back." Are you fucking kidding me? I told him "It's paid for and if you don't mind, I would like to have my product." Fine find he tells me. I told him about the wedding and that I was going to be in town last weekend to pick it up and he told me not to worry about it as he would ship it to me when he gets it in the store. He was supposed to get it last Thursday according to him. I got up there Friday night and called him and ended up getting another guy. This other guy told me that it was supposed to be delivered to the Richmond store and he was going to drive it down first thing Saturday morning. So Jay and I get in the car Saturday to drive up there and get the undertail. On the way there, I called the guy and he tells me it hasn't come in yet and he is losing a $100 on this because of shipping and he will ship it to me when he gets it. I told him that it wasn't my mistake and I am tired of dicking around. He should have a tracking number (since he said it was shipped UPS) and should be able to let me know when I should expect this thing. Good, respectable shops, when they screw up make every effort to make you feel better for doing business with them as they want your money and repeat business. I feel like this guy is going out of him way to make me not want to do business with him or anyone within 1000 miles of him. By the way, I've left three messages this week and haven't gotten a call back. I'm about half tempted to call my credit card company and cancel this transaction ($260.00)

But on topic..that sucks man. Hopefully you will get it here soon, but as much trouble as its been for you, you might as well say screw it, cancel the transaction, and order it online or something.

BTW, I just put a rear fender eliminator kit on my 01 R1, and it was truly a b!tch, But at least it looks good.
