Default Crashing on the highway....

Anyone ever did this or know of someone who has?

Its my biggest fear while riding. I know your greatest odds of crashing are at intersections but they dont bother me. I always think that wrecking on 95 would be the worst absolute thing you could ever do. You have high speeds, cars, jersey walls, guard rails, etc....

So has anyone ever done it? I once crashed coming off an highway exit ramp but I was only going like 15/20, wasn't that bad. And the last time I heard of someone crashing on the highway they were on the Beltway and they ended up in pieces

Sounds like you have a rather supportive girlfriend. In reality though, I've known a few people who have crashed on the interstate and managed to survive with little injury, all because of their gear. There are so many factors to take into consideration as to how a crash will end up: is it a highside or lowside, how many people are on the interstate when the crash is taking place, did the rider hit the barrier or another object, and did the rider crash going straight, or on an offramp?

I think the real problem here is that you have a girlfriend who is doing one hell of a job at manipulating you.

I'd imagine if you were wearing gear and went down on the highway your odds of walking away would be the same if you got rocked at an intersection by a 3000 pound car.

I would think you'd be dead meat, but that's all relative to the situation. I don't wanna try it.

Dude,

dude. No where in fbgm does it state to consider her opinion. for serious.

But yeah, when you hit the ground just tuck & roll into a ball like terminator after he flipped the liquid nitrogen truck; or run really fast. When I lowsided, I put my arms into a circle like I was hugging a barrel and rolled to safety, then ended in a windmill to hallowback freeze.
