i have a tendency to ride around with my visor up all the time, dunno why. never had any problems with my eyes drying out or anything, but then again, my eyes don't work worth a damn anyway.

I went about 10 years where I didn't even have glasses, only contacts for me. During that time, I rode around a few times w/o a lid altogether (in places where it was permitted) and never had a problem, but then again, I didn't go much over 40 mph. At bike week a few years back, I rode w/o a lit around 100 mph (not my wisest choice ever, but the rain was chasing us!), and my eyes did get alfully dry. I always carried drops with me anyway, so I would just pull over if I needed them.

Now I have Lasik...so I don't have the problem at all!
