Considering an R6
I am really interested into getting an Yamaha R6 raven and I have a few questions :
- Can you bike this bike new?
- would you recommend this bike to someone that has never been on a bike?
- what should I pay for an use R6 Raven?
Thanks in advance

Re: Considering an R6
-Yes, from the stealership. YZF-R6. Would not recommend buying the first bike brand new, especially a 600cc crotch rocket.
-No. "Supersports are not beginner bikes." If you have tons of respect for the bike and a lot of patience and knowledge, then maybe. It's harder to get good on a supersport as a beginner than a smaller engine bike that is much more forgiving.
-No idea. Search around and see what they're selling for, as well as other's prices.

Re: Considering an R6
Thinkin about selling my Raven R1 if I get to go on this deployment. It was my first bike and I'm still alive. But then again, I'm not a dumbass with the throttle either.
Edit: That's an R6S btw.

Re: Considering an R6
thats an 05 r6, not the "S", the s model was when the new body came out in 06 and they re did the r6, they kept the old body style and labeled it an "S"
I just got the 05 r6, and its my first sport bike, but i've ridden several bike for several years....i love it, but not sure i'd recommend to a beginner, unless your a calm smooth person....

Re: Considering an R6
Exactly. The 05 R6 design was kept and Labeled R6S. Is that picture he posted not the 05 body style? I must be missing the difference in appearance between an 05 R6 and an 06+ R6S. Help me out.
