Well for one thing fear is a big factor when your not surrounded by safety equipment. I know I would be less careful in a car than on a bike if I was racing. More room for error in a car.

if he's a three time BSB champion then he's more than qualified to ride that R1 to its limit... so i'm really suprised by the out come, but Jeremy was obviously very biased against bikes for some reason so that probably had a bit of an influence
but when they did the same thing with the gixxer thousand and a Z06 with kevin schwantz the bike slaughtered the car

I'm sure you could dig it up on the net somewhere... but it was on Speed originally
i remember the coolest part was the gsx-r going zero to 100 to zero before the 'vette had even reached 100... i'm pretty sure it was on willow springs, and kevin schwantz who has raced both motorcycles and cars piloted both the vehicles so it was a much more accurate test, they said there were a few corners where the z06 carried more speed but it just couldn't match the acceleration and braking in and out of them
