Default Can you spot paint a tank?

Someone knocked over my bike like 2 months ago and gas I'm asumming leaked out and mest up part of the paint. (see pic). The tank is perfectly fine, you think theres a way to fix this one spot or to put something on to prevent it form cracking/flaking b/c I assume as soon as it starts to get real hot its going to be flaking.

The pic is 2 months old, the bubbles have flatened out and a lil bit has already flaked off.

U could sand that all out and do a tiny little blend job on it but it would be more work than just paining the whole thing.. It just needs to be cut down with some 320 grit and then primed up then scuff the rest of the tank up a little ..
