Re: Cam tensioner

hey man i read up on that tensioner its a manual and id have to adjust it bout every time i rode which is ok for drag but im just causual rider but i found a tensioner that replaces the factory one that had problems and its the revised tensioner so i think i may go with it i just dont want any timing problems and i dont know enough of the specs on my F4 to adjust the manual tensioner thanks man peace

Re: Cam tensioner

not sure where you read that... but you'd most certainly never have to adjust it, at the most maybe once a year... its simple you put it in, screw in til you feel it press against the cam chain tensioner, then let the bike warm up, screw it down until the tick goes away, if its too tight the idle will drop and you will know... if you ever start hearing tick a long time later simply pop the lock nut loose, and give it a twist, then retighten the lock nut... but the updated Honda tensioner should work just fine too

where do i get this part? my valves are crazy loud, do you think this will help? i think i will also need a valve adjustment but this will probably help... do they make this part for a 93' F2 also? well thanks again in advance guys!
