Default Bought my first bike

I just bought my first bike last week.

It's a kawsaki ZZR600. I'm excited, but am feeling very careful right now.

I'm basically a beginner, and don't have much riding experience. The only experience I have is from the MSF course that I attended. You can learn so much from that course.

Anyways, I'm looking to start riding and just gain that valuable experience.

Probably going to start by just riding around in my neighborhood and getting acquainted with turns and other vehicles.

Any of you guys have any good tips about riding? Especially when I start getting out on the open road.

** Insurance is a bitch...lol

well i'm looking to get full coverage,

but i mean ... the lowest quote that I found was 150 from progressive.

I honestly don't know how you guys got your insurance payments below 100.

I have a good record except for one accident that happened in late october of last year.

so you guys have any good tips for a beginner.

I heard the slow sharp turns are really hard..

yeah you're lucky you got an empty parking lot to practice.. most of the places I have are filled with cars. Dunno where to practice except for riding around in the neighborhood I guess.

yo whats good, for some good beginner tips....dont get too cocky too fast, u will experience this within a month of riding, u will start to feel too comfortable on da bike and slightly forget the dangers u once feared.. dont be afaird to lean in the turn, that was one of my fears, leanin da bike too far and falling off lmao. make sure to use both brakes, get in the habit now. and try to find a couple guys to ride with, when your brand spankin new and your with other ppl, u tend to feel more confident and have more fun. if u live in the hampton/newport news area, u can ride wif me and some guys down here, and dont pop your first couple of wheelies with your gf on da back, even if she wants u too!
