unless your out of town, camping is really not necessary....I might be able to get a hook up on some tickets for us...Geico sponsors and hosts the event and I work in the Motorcycle division...I'll see what I can round up, I got several free tickets last year because I helped out.

But its a pretty cool event, and all for charity...

alot of harley, cruiser like bikes though, so it would be cool riding in a mass of sport bikes..

Beyond all that, I won't be particpating in this. BUT, for those who don't already know, the bike classic will not be going on this year, so this may be the closest thing this summer.

politics..... The douchebag guy running it wasn't making enough money, so he pulled the plug.

*hopefully* the city will step in and do thier own thing, something like Myrtle Beach here would be awesome. Not holding my breath though.

MYRTLE BEACH BIKE WEEK 2009 HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED . THE MAYOR & SOME OF THE RESIDENTS HAVE TRIED TO CANCEL BIKE WEEK BUT THEY CAN'T . ONLY A SMALL PART OF THE EVENTS & BARS ARE WITHIN CITY LIMITS . HORRY COUNTY & THE OTHER SURROUNDING TOWNS STILL WANT BIKE WEEK & ARE HAVING EVERYTHING AS NORMAL . AFTER DAYTONA BIKE WEEK I'LL START TO UPDATE THIS SITE ALONG WITH WAYS TO AVOID THE CITY LIMITS OF MYRTLE BEACH. REMEMBER IF MYRTLE BEACH DOES NOT WANT US DURING BIKE WEEK , WE NEED TO BOYCOTT THEM THE REST OF THE YEAR.
