Bike Insurance for Winter
I was wondering what you guys do about insurance when you put your bike up for the winter. I know if I cancel the insurance i have to turn my tags in and then re register it again in the spring along with the start up fee for the insurance. I was wondering if there was another way or is easier just to keep paying the insurance on it through the winter?
I pay about 63/mo usually called progressive they said they would put the minimum coverage on it for the winter at 44/mo. Its not really bad just hate paying for something im not using. Thanks for any advice ahead of time.

i leave my full coverage on year round. cause its never to cold to ride and we all know how va weather is. shit i remember xmas when it was 60 outside. drop your coverage down and i guarantee you'll probably still ride and then run the risk of not being totally covered. make sure you keep theft on it too cause thieves don't stop stealing cause its cold.

That's how I was on the RF. Id crank it and if I couldn't start it in 5 minutes then I drove. Love FI though. Give her ass a few to warm up while I bundle up then roll out.

Re: Bike Insurance for Winter
A lot of companies take into consideration the fact that most people don't ride as much in the winter and base the yearly rates off that. Plus, around here the weather is so jumpy it could be 70 after being 20 for three days, and there's only really like two weeks out of the year in the winter that riding isn't much of an option.
