I currently have a 08 1200 sportster. I am looking to purchasing a new 2009 gsxr 1000 and all insurance quotes I am getting are sky high like 5k a year. I have a clean driving record and have attended a MSF course. Any companys out there that you have had good expierences with and are cheap?

Could try progressive, see what you get from them.

5k? wow. I would be pissed if I was paying damn close to half the price of my bike on insurance for the year, and without the decency of a reach around or some crisco.

Yea man I do not understand it. I tried progressive and they were 7k I am not sure what is going on. I may have to call direct. I tried esurence they are 3800k for a year.

i dont know your age, but im 18 and had a 99 bandit 1200 and paid like 3xx a year in my name. Recently had a 04 zx10r and in my dads name with me as a main rider it was only 4xx a year on nationwide. If you have someone older thats nice enough get em to add you on their plan

dang my k6 gsxr 750 is $ 280 for the YEAR . with progressive thru USAA
