Default Bike Beginners

I know the basics of how bikes work (clutch, brakes, etc.) but I want to know more. Are there any good web sites or books to read to get more information before I get my first bike. I want information like basic maintenece, the differences between bikes (650, 750, 1000), and things for beginners. I do know about the class to take before I get my M liscence, which I plan to take, but are there others?

Please do the course before you even think about a bike. They teach you everythign from the basics. The website also has some useful things on it which you will learn in the class, and which will let you be advanced in the class easily.

There are other websites you can go dedicated to beginners.

If you are starting out, only think you need to know is that the maximum you want to be is 600. A 600 is like a rocket. A 1000 is a rocket on crack. 750 is in between, intermediate.

All apologies for cross referencing other sites, but check out this section of cycleforums.com: Linky. Cycleforums is where I spent most of my time when I was researching motorcycles before my first bike. You'll read a lot, but you'll also learn a lot as well. Good luck!

All apologies. The cross linking sites rule is for the classifieds section only.
