Default ATV Questions

at the moment im up in ny and just bought my new quad(alot cheaper than in virginia) well i didnt get it registered up here cause i will be using it down here in va, im just totally un-familiar with what you need in va to have it registered or whatever, basically i know nothing and need any info you can give me......thanks ahead of time......

Um, i was unaware of any registering of atv's. I bought my Yamaha yfz from Casey Cycle and all i had was just a slip showing that i purchased it. I didnt really consider it a registration. I wouldnt worry about it.

go to the virginia DMV site

and search for "ATV, or QUAD etc...."


but i agree w/ tat....i dont think you need to have registration for ATV's

you might need it for all the federal or state off-road areas....that was a joke because there really isn't many in this state. Other than that you probably need it for riding on private property or at one of the ATV parks

Never heard of anyof that, I could be wrong. Any park ive been in has yet to ask me for an ATV registration.

i searched the dmv site and didnt find anything, up here in ny we need to have them registered and you even get a license plate........just making sure you dont need to do anything like that down there cause like you guys said ive never heard of that before either.....

you dont have to register an atv....
they arent street legal AT ALL sooo why the hell would you need to get one registered through dmv??
you buy it.
take it home.
and ride it.
just not on public streets
