any advice?

hey guys, im just starting to get into bikes. Its so much more easier than working on cars! I'm looking on suggestions for local bike forums that has a decent classified section. Specifically, im looking to get a 250 Ninja. All the ones on this forum seem to get sold instantly =(

I have been riding a 500 for three years, there is not reason to own a 600 on the streets. A 250 will do just fine and be super easy on the wallet.

Get what you feel comfortable on. Anything can kill you. Some faster than others.

Re: any advice?

power to weight ratio of a 250 will do low 14s. I have a rough idea of how much Gs that is and its plenty for streets.

i dont mind selling and buying something else later on either if i end up becoming a more serious rider. I just want something ot cruise around with in the city right now honestly.

thanks for the replies.

you looking to buy an older bike or a newer one? the new 250r's look real nice, if your in to getting a new one there only like 3900 or something cheap.

How much do you weigh, and how tall are you cause 250 might feel a little slow if your a bigger person.

i started on a 600 but it was a 93 cbr so it was alot more forgiving, i recommend an old 600 if your jst starting.
