Default Advice for a smoking (literally) bike...

I dropped the bike about 2 months ago and didn't have time to ride until recently. Went out to start the bike and the battery was dead so I changed the oil and put in a new battery and it started up just fine. However, the bike now smokes a bit more than I would like. I was thinking it may have something to do with the carbs or fuel system. Suffice to say I did not ride it and I'm waiting to take it to the local shop in Richmond to get them to check it out.

My question is, is the smoking normal for a bike that's either dropped or hasn't been run in a while? I'm thinking that if I put a new tank of gas into it, it'll stop smoking because the gas in it is 2 months old and might be bad. Thanks in advance for any forthcoming responses.

What color is the smoke? Is it all the time or just upon star up?

+1 black, blue, or white smoke means entirely different things

2 month old gas is usually nothing to be worried about unless there's something already messed up in the fuel system.

The smoke was blue and it pretty much smoked all the time. I'm gonna ride it some this afternoon and see if it does it all the time or not.
