636 Tire Question

Default 636 Tire Question

I just picked up an 05 636 it needs tires ive found a set but the rear dosent match the tire thats on the bike is a 180/55/17 the rear tire that comes with the set is a 200/50/17 my question is will this fit. i apologize if someones answered this but ive searched and cant find any info.

Is the swingarm extended? Because there shouldn't be a 200 series tire on there normally. Standard replacement would be the 180.

a 200 will fit, but it won't handle as well. Squeezing a wider tire on the rear rim will tend to "square" the tire. If it were me (I like the turns) I'd find a suitable 180 and be happy.

id get a 180 190 max imo you can get a nice 180/190 for less than a 200 also if money is tight look into the shinko podiums i ran them for a while and they are very nice tires
