First off, I'm not a photographer. This is simply posting pics of peoples cars that were at the Wing Command Meet on 7.29.12, and if I post your car and you have a problem with it, lemme know and I'll take it down.

Also, I was gonna post this in the Gallery forum but I figured this would be better suited. I'll have more pics later because I've reached the limit for the Flickr free account.

To let this thread not be a worthless 2 page pic thread feel free to add pics or chat about the Wing Command Meet in general. If this goes against anything on the forum I can delete this thread. Let me know what you guys think.

Haha. The lights are more of an amber/yellow. I tried messing with the white balance but I couldn't do much of anything with it. If I knew how, I surely would. The only thing I don't like about the meet is the lack of "meeting" others. I went to the meet about a year or two ago and its just the same thing, people talking to people that they came with.

I chose to sleep in for the exact reasons stated lol... It's the same shit every Sunday, kids segregated in crowd's like they are incapable of talking to different people.. I stick to cars and coffee on hugenot rd if i can make it to any meets.. It's a lot better scene out there than Wing Command..

I've heard about the cars and coffee meet but I also just heard that they stopped having it in RVA. That and I never went to it because I always heard that it was a bunch of deep pockets and real expensive cars so I figured a 240 and such would just get busted on. If they still have it or are going to bring it back, I'll most likely go to that one also.

I can't stop thinking of pee when I see these photos now haha, but anyway, here are a few more pics from the night as I have now loaded them to Flickr. Some of the cars are repeats and I did miss a quite a few nice cars (idky). Also, some pics came out shaky but this is mainly to show who/what came out. The first and last pics show an example of the type of lights that were in the lot.

Love s13 coupes, yours looks really good too. Pics don't look good bad either, considering the lighting at the meet and the fact that your not a photographer. What kind of camera are you using? Just cell or what?

Grazie. I go to Longwood University and they have cameras to rent so over the past year I have used the Canon 450d (Rebel XS and XSi), 30d, 50d, and 60d. I used the 60d that night. I have taken decent and good pics and know somewhat what I'm doing but don't consider myself a photographer.

Same on the reason for going. The three times I've went, I never seen a camera. At first I wasn't gonna take pics but then I figured screw it, I can try some night/meet pictures while I had it on me. I originally was just gonna try to take some pictures of RVA at night, which came out decent but none spectacular.

Wing Command as stated earlier is a meet that started in other places that has been moved over the years (most likely for hattery and hoonigans). Basically, Wing Command is a restaurant and where the meet is held at. The pictures are just to show what comes out and to show kind of what the meet is. I missed the picture of a real clean MKIV Supra and a menacing Camaro.

Sadly, not alot of people actually go outside of there circle of friends and talk and "meet" others. I'm not perfect at talking to people nor am I ever the center of attention, however, I try to talk to others.

Don't get me wrong, there will be elitist tool bags there for sure but they are in the distinct minority.
Most of the people willing to bring their car out to meet are there because they love cars.
At the now defunct C&C meet their were plenty of Subarus, VW's including some aircooled goodness), Hondas and so on.
Even some Miata's.

Good to know on the meet. Where exactly is it? I was using a similar camera but they were a little bit older and both have since been "retired/lost" because the moment i found out I could use the ones from my school I dove head first into dslr and very glad I did.

Just some constructive criticism, and it may be partly my computer, but WAY too dark. There are a few ways you can remedy that, but first off, I would suggest you get a tripod and slow that shutter speed way down.

Nice and thanks for all of the tips. I have seen the grey card trick done done but as of right now since I just rent the cameras I probably won't be getting one until I graduate. I mess around with white balance but only dealing with the presets like flourescent, shade, daytime, etc... My shutter speed was fairly slow for having it handheld, but I did have a tripod and I know that the slower shutter speed would make the pics look better but I didnt want to haul the tripod around. The pissy effect seems to be the problem haha. I figured I would try some quick pics to kinda show the meet.

Thanks on the Cars and Coffee event info also. I just gotta get a bug fixed on my car and Ill definately go there. If I do, hopefully it'll be within 2-3 weeks and a little caravan should be with me.

Well, not that it matters but I won't be making it to any cars and coffee meets or wing commands meets for the time being. Nothing crazy but my car still has a bug that I have yet to fix and summer ended a little quicker than I expected. I don't really do much during school except for school. I'll update this if anything changes.
