Default T-top leaking

Good morning everyone,

Does anyone know a place where I can get the t-top leak fixed on my 87 IROC? I did some searching on google and saw the the DIY silicone fix but I'm not totally confidant i could do a good job at it personally . Any ideas?

i had the same issues with my 86 trans am

you can do a silicone/rtv fix, but it'll look like shit and there's no promises it'll actually stop the leak

what i did was went ahead and bought the brand new weather stripping for the t-tops and i never had any issues again

but... the weather stripping was expensive as fuck. but i thought it was worth it

whatever you decide to do, good luck man

Go on ebay, and buy the weatherstripping.

Its the only way to fix it the RIGHT way.

you just have to get the old (presumably dry-rotted and crumbling) weatherstripping off. The new stripping comes with adhesive, or at least mine did

lol!!! thats what i did last night when i realized it was going to rain. I just bought the car Friday and havent yet had a chance to work on it yet. Its only the passenger side and only the front right corner. I was hoping a piece of tape over the seam would hold it for a little... no such luck lol. I just ordered the kit... we will see what happens. thanks for the help guys.
