State Fair of VA -- Sept 28 - Oct 8
Advance tickets are on sale at FasMarts and Kroger (and online).
1 day with rides is $16 (reg $22)
All days with rides is $27 (reg $32)
1 day without rides is only $10 at the gate or $7 after 5pm if you wanted to check it out after work.
Good:
- Freefall "dropzone" type ride
- The one that spins then drops the floor
- Battering ram type
Dumb:
- Pay to ride in the back of a mini-Monster truck over a pile of dirt
Bad:
- The Mouse-something rollercoaster ride, you get bruised big time
- Any of the carnie games
Thought I'd continue to post up the local happenings around here.

i swear after looking at some of those games that people play there... you could set up a stand with a 5 gallon bucket. just challenge people to throw money in the bucket. they are stupid enough to play.
