silviata comeing to rich.
alrighty, now that the bulk of the money is about to come in from selling the probe, i want to start on a miata.
my goal is to put an sr20det into it of course. now I know the main things im gonna need.
custom motor mounts (not sure what other mounts)
custom driveshaft (any suggestions?)
rx7 rear end is said to work, how does the stock one hold up?
with the rx7 rear will i need custom axels? or anything?
i know ill need a diff hood sense the sr20 sits higher.
anything else needed and/or suggestions would be great. I really want to do this.

Re: silviata comeing to rich.
u ever consider a rotary swap? i think the miatas with the 13b swaps are too gangster for tv.
coming for a sr owner, u'll love the engine. its not stupid fast but just enough to have fun. i can only imagine the engine in s a smaller and lighter car.

Dude a 5.0 fits in there nicely and there's lots of aftermarket support for that conversion. I can get with putting a turbo anything in a lightweight body like that by why not a V8 if it's available to do?

no, i like being diff. as you all know.
trust me i know all about the sr's, dealt with many, so the motor itself is nothing new to me, putting one in a miata is though lol.
the car is not going to be for straight line, just going to be a fun car to drive
and I can help put the lt1 in the porsche if you want
any thoughts/opinions/suggestions on this?

i also thought about this. but..
a)its been done enough already
b) the sr20 keeps the weight damn near the same (and I know the v8 doesnt change it THAT much)
c) its like 4k for the kit not including motor and shit
d) its not gonna be just a straight line car
if I was going to make it a drag car, i would go that way with the v8. but you also know i like to keep things a bit undercover on the streets and that would give it away lol
