Red car arrived today...
 

Got the red car today. 1965 Spyder GT. Got a lot of "what was that!" looks.

The car was featured as Factory Five Racing's car of the month in July 2005. 2nd one built, about 38 total sold with probably 15 on the road. This is the one that I had shipped in an enclosed carrier from Oregon to Virginia. Need to put on a side mirror and clamp-on windshield wipers to make it street legal for state inspection. :angel:

I can't be caught driving it around until I get an inspection done (duh) but if you'd like to stop by and see it, more than happy to show you and maybe go for a quick spin. Took it for a (ahem) "mechanical test run" this morning with the seat and bun warmers on. That thing is wicked quick at 2200#.

1992 Ford Mustang GT engine, stock. Nothing fancy, it's reliable and makes good power without generating much heat. The Griffon vents through the hood, switch is set to 180*, that setup is slightly out of the second pic. The frame is powder coated silver, interior is black leather (dash, shifter, steering, headrests) and black carpet, paint is Mazda red done by SoFast LLC on the west coast, and there is 3m film on the hood and all fenders.
