question
This may seem like a stupid question but granted i didnt grow up in the richmond area....
Where's a good softball field I can use providing i get someone to throw with me? ANd no, m onroe park doesnt' count, nor anywhere else downtown. the backstop cant have holes in it JR TUcker's 2 min away but i just dont wanna be trespassing or something...and i'm in the west end so if its off on the other side of the planet i 'll need more than "near bobby's house" to get htere. hehe. thanks

There are several in the west end. There is a softball "complex" just south of I-295 between Woodman Rd and I-295. Don't have my map with me, not sure about any trespassing rules for public use.
If there is not bat involved, and you just want to toss around a softball, I'm up for it. Look for middle and high schools that have large open fields. The new high school over by Twin Hickory has a huge play area. The middle school on Pouncey Tract has large areas used for soccer fields that would be a good place.
Best bet is to find a public soccer field for the space.
There is a good batting cage at Bogey's Sports Park out by Mark's Performance Autosports, coupons pop up in Val-Pak mailers and Entertainment coupon books.

How bout one sat or sun afternoon we all got togehter and had a game or something? Nothin serious, dont have to be a great player or in great shape or anything, dont even have to like the sport, haha, just to chill out and have some fun. Our very own drag central va softball/baseball game. *cries* jp. just an idea....
