I know the horror stories, but I can vouch for the Maaco in Chester, VA on route 1. They did a great job on my red 300zx turbo and my 88 NA>Turbo. You want to work with the main guy, Frank, since he runs the shop. there is a place, Montgomery's, off of hilliard that does ok work for a fair price. he did a color change on my car for 1000.

macco in chester is garbage i went in there one day to get a estimate on a paint job and the guy who had just received his car from paint was exposing them for horrible painters he said the paint job was shitty there was overspray every were and they painted things on the car that were not supose to be painted

check out my thread for the purple and gold da teg..............shit had alot of work needed to be visually clean but i paid no more than 800 and that included a 120 dollar hood and all fiber/bondo work(only bondo for parking lot dings.....the guy is local to charlottesville and will be the best for price near richmond
