Moving to Fredericksburg

We're hetting out of hampton. I did a search but came up dry: are there any good places to do performance teating? Namely I need to do a skidpad test. Dominion Raceway will have one, but I need to test sooner than theirs will be open.

Also, anything I should know about the area?

traffic sucks donkey balls. make sure you have a "reverse commute" or you will be staring at brake lights for a long time every day.

The wife's the one that will be dealing with traffic. She's gotta commute to Alexandria for work. She's taking the VRE or Amtrak, though. I'm lucky-ish, I'll be at Germanna for the next year finishing up my transfer degree and probably end up at VCU for my final 2 years.

We're set to close on a place after the 1st. If it falls through, I'll give you a shout

Thanks! It's our second purchase. We own in Hampton, but we just bought it last year, so if we sold now, we'd take a huge loss in covering fees and commission and whatnot. We're just gonna rent it out for the next handful of years until we pay enough off that we're not eating such a huge loss.

But the lender we're going through now has had us jumping through hoops for the past 3 weeks. I mean, we're technically set to close on the 29th, but thanks to some demands they dropped on us (like have 3 grand magically appear in your bank account, but you can't actually deposit any money), I expect the rug to be pulled out from under us at the 11th hour. We're lining up some backup lenders JIC.
