Default Migraines/Headaches

I'm putting this in Central as I'm looking for a recommended Neurologist. I have a regular GP that I go see and of course he is going to have his recommendation but, I am also interested some of your experiences. I have actually lost about 10 lbs over the last 2 weeks because of a nearly constant state of nausea. I've been trying Emetrol because the Phenergan knocks me out and I still have to be at work at least part of the time. I've been taking Demerol to bring the pain to a dull one and complete daily needed activities. I'm also on Clonodine as a preventative but, haven't been taking it long enough to see any results. Other meds that have limited results in this quest have been Cymbalta, Topomax, Elavil, Verapamil, and Tranzadone. These were all to help bring the number of headaches down. Actual episodes with no results are Zomig, Imitrex, Treximet, and Frova.
If anyone has thoughts or other experiences, please share. I've had MRI's and CT Scans with no abnormalities reported as well. The weather with its barometric pressure changes is killer too.

Thanks for anything worthwhile you can add.
ALSO: I have no interest in try crack, cocaine or the like..............

I've perused the forum here to pick up what you're puttin' down. However that will only aid with the nausea. It will do absolutely nothing for the actual headache that brings on the nausea. I'm serious. If you know anything about narcotics, then this is a feat of itself. I had a migraine the other day so bad that 300mg of Demerol did not put me to sleep and I still vomited after 50mg of Phenergan. That is an insane amount for a 5'5" 143lb person. If I had known you personally, I would of called you and made a request..........for a nausea cure.

Does the light bother you?
Sounds like a severe migrane.

Cooler weather and the change in pressure makes it worse.

Yes, light does. It was most certainly a migraine. The shitty part is that lately, I have had this constant nagging pain in my left temple. Like a screw driver is shoved in the side of my head.

Yep. That's probably it. I'd still go to the doc and see what he/she says but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

My dad usually start getting migranes in the fall/winter and they get so bad that he literally spends the entire day in bed with everything off and no lights at all and it lasts for days at a time. I've actually seen him with tears from the intense pain.

Hope you get better man. GL

wow, sorry to hear about your condition. you should ask your regular GP to reccomend you to a specialist. don't be afraid to ask questions and take somebody with you. im actually fighting side effects of nausea cansed from another drug im taking a lot of times it's just trial and error until you find one that works. phenogren is strong and usually knocks me out too. i dont know whats worse the nausea or the original problem. you have to really be careful that you don't get dehydrated. maybe consult with a dietician. i dont know if this helped you but hang in there and stay strong.
