Matte Black Vinyl Wraps
Looking to get a Matte black wrap done to my Audi. Do you guys know anything about this or any shops around the Richmond area that will do the install? I have been searching and searching and cannot find very much on this.

Re: Matte Black Vinyl Wraps
I personally think it is retarded. If you want the car that color.. paint it. Instead of paying all this money to wrap it. If you track the car, I could see certain aspects of it being covered. But more than likely it won't be. Pretty dumb.. IMO..
again.. there is a thread probably a few pages back where some other dude did it.
Don't say i didn't help you.

Cool. That actually did help- alot. I want to do it 1 because I think it would look sick on my b6 and 2 Id really like to protect the paint while I am living in the city and do a shitload of interstate driving. Effing rock chips.

Don't listen to the negative nancies. It's cool. It's worth it. I started wrapping my G35 sedan when I had it as an alternative to painting. $375 in material costs. It's a pain in the ass to do tho... I would recommend spending the money on better vinyl for better wrapping properties. I would also recommend having someone do the wrap for you... and good vinyl guys are hard to come by. If you just wanted to do the roof, PM me because I have some left over material and a guy locally that can do it for you

I don't think its too bad unless it starts to peel off on the edges. He could always peel it off when he goes to resell it. Not sure many people would be looking for a flat black car.

^^^ I wouldn't. You know why? Because you can never re-create a factory paint job. A new paint job never adds value to the car... it usually lowers it. I know for me... idc how good a "fresh" paint job looks... I am probably not going to buy that car. I have had experiences in the past and I know better than to take my chances with that. Factory paint jobs ONLY for me.
The stuff peels back like window tint if you get sick of it. $2k for the entire car is a damn good price if it includes labor and the job is quality. This stuff is really hard to do... trust me. I spent 20+ hours on just my roof and trunk.
