I have used 3 machine shops for my BMW and datsun. To be honest though, rings and bearings are easy to DIY. Just get a ring spreader and a ring compressor. They are cheap. The bearings just slide right in.

Citizens machine on nine mile rd (Jimmy and Carlos)

Citizens rocks!!! I go there at least once a week.

Napa machine shop on Chamberlayne will probably be the fastest and least expensive. I can't remember the main guys name. Don't have the number either.

Call Ballos, friend of mine got his SR done, they seem to to good machine work, but in our case, assembly was very sloppy, and not done correctly, but that was upper head work mostly.

Napa is no good! Karl is the main guy. Real good guy but the guys working on my stuff did not take me seriously and just threw some of my parts together(valve job) and I made them redo it and pay for the parts the second time! Also I gave them no price cap just said to it right so it will last at 500rwhp daily and they didn't even line hone the block plus took them 5 weeks when they quoted my 2-3 weeks max! Just my experience and that was even with having a boss who is friends with them!

HTH,
Seth
