Looking for machine shop recommendations
My brother is rebuilding a Dodge 318 and is looking for a good machine shop. He is not doing anything radical but wants someone who will do the work right. The guy I used to take all my work to passed away a few years ago and the work I've from his son isn't the same quality so I would appreciate any recommendations.

Davis machine shop.

Re: Looking for machine shop recommendations
Davis supposedly reconditioned my rods and they cut them wrong.... Two bearings spun within 5 minutes of idling... They are garbage. I use either Ballos or Citizens. Both have done great work.

Mundys Machine Shop. Talk to Carlos.

Re: Looking for machine shop recommendations
Ballos has been good to me, but I've heard bad stories about them too. Every time I walk through their shop, they have like every single machine running, working on a dozen heads/blocks. Seems like a lot of people take their business there, which I guess is something you can put your trust in.
