Default Looking for local Camaro restoration parts store

Are there any shops in the Richmond/Chesterfield area that sell restoration parts for the first gen Camaro's? I hate to mail order every part that I will need. Especially the truck freight items.

Thanks
Jeff

Old dominion was a good place to deal with. I called them this past Monday and they had all my parts ready for pickup on Friday. Most of which they had in stock and the others were already on order. They will be seeing me a lot as they stock a lot of the little items I will need over the course of the restoration. Best of all their prices are the same as the mail order companies without the truck freight charge for the large items.

thanks

As I mentioned it is not much to look at in it's current state. It will need a complete restoration. I had to pay $4000 for it, but I could not find a complete car any cheaper. My last one I converted into an all out drag car and I will never forgive myself for that. This one will not get abused on the track at all. Thanks to old dominion I have new fenders, header panel, trunk lid, front and rear spoilers, front bumper, complete trunk pan, radiator support, battery tray, grill, grill support, and other odd and end bolts. this will keep me busy this winter.

It's amazing how hard it is to find cars now. In 1988 that was a $250 car and everyone had one in their back yard. I had a 1967 Nova SS that I bought for $1200 that was a 4 speed car to boot. Wish I still had it!

Sounds like you have the plans for a killer car.

Tell me about it. in 1995 I bought my first 69 Camaro for $1200 as a rolling chassis and it was a real RS car. In 88 I bought a complete running 72 Nova for $800. If only we could turn back the hands of time. This car will be with me for life. My wife may even have to bury me in it.
