Kinda Important
Ok, I am posting this so I don't have to repeat it a million times to those of you who I hang out with. As of Friday, I have been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and it was also found that my right kidney is encased in scar tissue, from a kidney infection. I have 100% function from the left kidney, and about 65% from the right. My liver is not functioning properly, but we are awaiting more tests to see where it is at. Long and the short, my life is changing. I can no longer drink alcohol, for obvious reasons, I am also supposed to avoid as much fat and cholesterol as possible, as these irritate the disease. I also cannot let my stomach "feel hungry", meaning I must eat every couple of hours. When you get that "hungry" feeling, your liver emits enzymes and also tells your lipids to enact themselves. Both of these things aggravate fatty liver disease. No, it is not fatal (that I know of), however if I dont take care of myself, I could end up with cirrohosis (sp), which in rare circumstances can be fatal. Forgive me if I get moody with any of you while my body adjusts to my new diet and routine. Stress also aggravates it apparently, since when I get stressed, I hurt due to it. Yea, this sucks, but I am working on adjusting to it as I type this. Just need a little time...

sorry to hear this missy, but I hope you get better, I know your a strong enough person to be able to overcome this. Get well, and as nic said if you need anything, let me know.
