Giving away my Mac o/r H pipe that fits 96-98 4V's. Just want to get rid of it otherwise its going in the trash. I don't need it as i have LT's. Figure the central folks know someone that might want it and the For Sale Sections are just an abortion.

What headers did you go with?

I'm pretty sure I made my mind up to go with the Bassani mid-lengths vs. a standard long-tube. I don't feel like screwing up what ground clearance I do have and don't want to fight with the slip -fits.

I went with the Flowtech LT's. Exact same header as the Hookers as they both are made by Holley. Install was easy took about 6 hours dropping the K member. I just didn't like the X pipe design.
Car picked up quite a bit low and midrange gains. Sound is good too

As for the h pipe, the crossover was welded as it started to leak and that fixed it. Not the greatest job, but the guy fixed it.

I have Bassani mid-length headers in the new exhaust setup. Ground clearance was major factor, massive exhaust leaks from slip-(mis)fits was the other factor. Cut off the Sean Hyland equal length headers to get them off easier.

Ouch, that was a lot of money to cut up. Didn't you want to try and resell them?

After all the trouble he had with the Sean Hyland's, I'd bet he took a little satisfaction in cutting them up.

$1300+ down the drain. Those pipes needed to die.
