Furniture stores can be expensive
Well we just spent $1060 for a queen bet set.
We have been deciding on a new bed being the current one bothers Bev and I. We ended up getting a new set itself. Queen size, new headboard, frame, rails, box spring and mattress with a cover.
I want a livingroom set, but damn after this purchase don't want to dump another $1500. Where in Richmond have you peoples shopped for furniture?

You can search the dumpsters for stuff other people don't want anymore.
I haven't had much luck in finding good furniture at a decent price. If you want something that lasts more than a year or two, you are going to pay for it.
I have seen some good deals on Craigslist though...a lot better than trying to buy new.

LOL. I won't be trying the dumpster, but beginning to think you are right about cost vs durability.
Another option I am going to try and see if the stores have good deals on used or slightly furniture.

Re: Furniture stores can be expensive
I have bought from bloom brothers. 2500 for a living room set and 720 for a queen size bed frame, already had the mattress.
Everything was good with the living room set but I ordered the bed two months ago and it was back ordered and supposed to be there in three weeks and two months later.... still not here.

Damn, that sucks. We did some haggling and got the price lowered. However, I may way until I buy a house to throw some coin into a living room set.
