Re: Fishing in the 804
I've tried pretty much everything in my tackle box, plus night crawlers, minnows and "carp bait" made by Gulp. I've even tried to snag 'em with no luck. It's frustrating as I can see them, but they don't bite.
You catch that one on the blue worm? Any scent sprayed on it?

yes it was caught on the worm, no scent other than whatever was in the water... it really shouldnt have happened, the fish probably just got aggravated and struck after the millionth cast in its personal space
id give up the artificials if i were you and switch to doughballs. it sounds stupid but it works. it could be as simple as balling up white bread and dipping it in some kind of liquid like canned corn juice or strawberry soda. the bread more or less holds the atrractant, the attractant doesnt really matter as long as its smelly, somewhat sweet, and can dissipate in the water.
you can really go crazy with dough/oatmeal/cereal balls. there are tons of recipes out there.
i dont really go for carp these days but doughballs were the failsafe when i was little.
good luck, residential lakes see a lot of fishing pressure
