Re: et or mph what wins a race?
i had the very same question a lil while ago.
mph is supposedly an indication of how much power a vehicle produces.
et is making the most use of such power.
to me, mph is just as pitiful (in some cases) as knowing one's dyno results... it's pretty useless against a similar setup with a good chassis and suspension.

Re: et or mph what wins a race?
on the highway.... a car with more mph will win... hence why supras are deadly from a roll.... and more mph means more hp if both cars are similar in weight and aerodynamics.
It is a toss up, if a car is running low mph but quick ET's then they are either really light and/or using every bit of that hp down the track... so good 60's and everything. But a car with enough hp/mph can out run that same car and have close to the same ET.
