Default Drill with a 1" chuck

Anyone in the Farmville, or somewhere in the 100mi radius of Farmville, with a drill that has a 1" chuck, preferably Electric, and if not, one that can regulate the pressure flowing through it. I'll throw the owner some money to use it in their own driveway (preferably).

Drilling aluminum, an oil pan to be precise, for an oil return line. Got anything for that?

Holy fuck you are drilling something big if you need a 1" chuck. 1" bit maybe?

I am barely man enough to be able to handle a Hole Hawg on low range, I would love to see someone that could handle a 1" chuck by themselves.

Well help me out here, I've always used hand tools, if the job ever required something I didn't have I'd take it to a shop. I have the bit .578", someone told me I'd need a one inch chuck for it, now maybe they're wrong? Any info? It also comes with a 3/8" NPT tap that I need to run through after the hole in made.

I havent seen a 1" chuck in quite a while, it was on some old presses then.

is the shank a taper with a tang on the end? or is it stepped to a 1/2" shank?

taco is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Drill with a 1" chuck

what part of that process requires a 1 inch chuck drill? 37/64ths is nowhere near 1 inch. Usually bits have a shank that steps to 1/2 inch. I have bits at work that are 1 inch bits stepped to a half inch for a half inch chuck.

Even if the bit you have isn't stepped just find a bit that is the same size that is stepped to a half inch.

Well, the bit came with the kit, an unfortunately it isn't tapered on one end, and it's larger than 1/2 inch
