Drag CentralVA GT3 Tourney?
We were disscussing this in our little AIM chat the other day. I was wondering who else would be interested. It would be a bracket-style tournament.
Each round would be a best of 3; whoever wins the pre-round cointoss will choose the first and third track. The loser of the toss chooses the second track. Of course, you'd only get to the third track if each player took one of the first two races. No duplicate tracks would be allowed (for example, Super Speedway can't be played twice in 1 match.) No rally courses will be allowed (this would give anyone with AWD an insane advantage. )
Car Rules:
The total allowed budget for your car is $160,000. This includes the price of the car. If you buya $60,000 car you've got $100,000 to spend on mods. If you buy a $100,000 car, you get less to spend. It should make things interesting. Also, it seems $160,000 isn't enough to build an all-dominating monster; I built (to test the budget) a Supra and a Corvette. I had to make compromises on both cars to fit within the budget.
The car you use must be availible for purchase in the dealer menus. You can't use a prize car that you can't buy. If you use a car you have won, the price listed in the dealer menus will be used.
Here's what we need to decide:
1) Do we want a loser's bracket?
2) How will we choose the matches? One choice is to draw names randomly from a hat and match them up. The other is to have everyone run 1 lap on the same course and match them in reverse order of their times. IE: 1st fastest faces 10th fastest, 2nd fastest faces 9th fastest, etc.
Let me know what you think.
