Anyone local willing to fabricate a custom down pipe?
 

got my turbo back on, now the down pipe thats been on this set-up before wont fit. needs to be an inch or two taller to fit now, no idea why and everyone I know is swamped getting ready for honda day

so if anyone has the ability and tools who could either fix my existing down pipe or create a whole new one please contact me here or at 804-972-5521

Have a shop cut it in a straight section and weld in a small collar piece. Ask to see an example of their welds first.

^ thinking of cutting the pipe now and run it open to the shop and get them to do just that


noob question, how bad to run without the o2 sensor in? im just gonna tie it up since the part i have to cut is well before the o2 bung

your o2 sensor may mess with your air/fuel mixture.

let the shop cut the pipe.

roy hendricks may still be open, near burlington coat factory. just about any place can do the welding, but you want a quality job if it's going to be long term.

i cut it myself, but its not a long term fix, just needs to last 2 weeks or so until honda day is over. Ive got a friend who did my last down pipe and it was solid, but hes slammed right now so im hoping this works until then.

I drove it around a little bit, sounds good for open downpipe, no weird smoke or noises, but im afraid to get into it until i get it double checked by someone with some more experience than myself.

temp fix, look for a bosal exhaust clamp.

hell I feel more comfortable w them then most shops I have visited.
