Anyone ever rebuilt an automatic transission w/overdrive?
I tried this one other time and the transmission didn't make it 2 blocks down the street before it let go again, but the tranny in the beater just died, so I'm going to rebuild it. Anyone ever successfully rebuilt an auto w/overdrive before? Tips?

I've messed with em before. They're all different to some degree, and all the same. Lots of clutches, bands and all the gearsets. Make sure you keep your pieces nicely organized and work in a clean area and disassemble it in a logical organized order because there are plenty of pesky little pieces that all look similar. Take your time with it and follow instructions and they really aren't all that terrible, just tedious and annoying as hell. I need to get around to rebuilding the transmission in my Suburban.
What let go on it? Determining that would determine what you have to do.

Not sure what let go yet. I'll probably pull the transmission out in a little while once I get the motivation to push it into the garage. It has no forward gears, only reverse.
