(804) Gas Stations
i just wanted to talk about some shit that bothered me the other day.
I usually get gas at the EastCoast gas station in Ashland of Rt. 54. i was leaving work the other day in Mechanicsville and my gas light came on. when i had my last Miata i got gas a Kroger cause i got 3 cents of and i'm a cheap bastard. so i thought id go down there. number one, i got the the pump and looked in my wallet and i lost my Kroger card. said fuck it and pumped gas anyways. paying $3.63 for premium, (2004 Mazdaspeed Miata turbocharged) a soon as i left, i could tell something wasn't right. i felt like i had lost half of my power. just getting to the light i could tell the difference. it runs as if i had pumped regular gas in it. but i had not. i feel like i got fucked over. i remember reading on here about how gas stations had been pumping 87 into the 93 tanks. and i think that is what happened to me. it really pissed me off and i considered calling them and complaining, but i don't have much of an argument, but i'm defiantly not filling my tank there anymore. is there anything i could do? call anyone? i'm curious if anyone else has had an issue there or any other gas stations in central VA. |

water likely seeped into the tanks. get a fuel additive. |
Re: (804) Gas Stations
I agree with Richard. Probably a bad tank of gas.

Re: (804) Gas Stations
yes, i use it on my tractor an in my generator. found it at sears (one was closing so it was 10% off). lemmie check, it was in a white bottle. can find it at any auto parts store am sure, it was the only one listed that removed water from gasoline.

Re: (804) Gas Stations
looks like most of the gasoline additives will remove water. pick any one.

Re: (804) Gas Stations
We used this in our boat for storage and to dry the gas. I also put it in the bike before winter storage to keep the gas from going bad.

Same shit usually happens to me when I use Wawa/Sheetz/"Ma 'n' Pa" places.
I recommend Shell, period. I've never had an issue with their fuel. |
