Should have got a 7.3! On 38" tires mine gets 23-24mpg not towing highway and 18 towing highway. Considered selling mine a few times to get a newer truck since it's a 01 but can't beat the gas mileage. My customer's 6.4 that we just built a custom turbo back exh and intake and installed a tuner gets right at 21mpg highway. He has not towed with the truck yet though.

That's a great looking truck.... I'd go crazy in a regular cab truck as well. I'm surprised they even make them anymore.... they should go away along with the penny. Only complaints are I think Ford got a bit funky with the dash styling in the new trucks and they didn't need to stamp "SUPER DUTY" into every panel... we get it.... it's a big truck.

Time for stacks and a set of hitch balls

Please don't.

I advise against any mods, unless you are damn good on the 6.4 and know its issues (MANY).

DPF delete is a good move on them, and if the flash is just to rid the parameters for monitoring the DPF and doing regen, then that is fine. I strongly suggest not fucking with the fueling parameters though. Yes, fuel mileage goes up slightly, and they are *a little* more powerful in midrange RPM shifts, but the cons outweigh the pros as far as I am concerned.

Also, having a DPF removed on the truck puts you in a legal bind, especially if the DOT sees it when you are at the scales.

on the color, I do like those body style trucks.
