Which wheels for the new Corvette?
Not buying wheels until the yellow car is sold, but tossing around different ideas. I can't decide if I want to go with a race/mesh style wheel again or a nice clean 5-spoke to try something different. Since the car will be driven often I will not get anything that is full polished. Polsihed lip is ok, but the centers must be coated in some manner. Thus, I'm leaning toward a brushed aluminum center w/ clear coat. CCW now offers this on their wheels which is awesome... Fikse always has.
Classics w/ brushed centers
Fikse FM-5
505As - Yes I know they're like the Cobra Rs of the C5 world, but they do look goood
Other suggestions?

Re: Which wheels for the new Corvette?
I can't think of what other wheels at the moment, but I'm thinking something not often seen as CCW's... Fikse I never noticed too many of. But, I guess from reading how exclusive it seemed of your red/tan/tan purchase I'm getting a vision of some sort of other exclusive wheels y'know?
I'm probably tired I'm going to bed. I'm interested what other responses are.

Going by the ones you listed I'd do FM5s, Classics, 505As in that order. I never really cared for the 505As. I always liked the SP500s more. They're boring, but I just don't care for the split 5 spoke design on the 505As.
FM10s not an option? I love them on F-bodies. I don't recall seeing any on a C5.

None of those.
CCW's yeah, they're amazing, gorgeous wheels- but theyre popping up on everything.
Fikse's I think are 'too plain', but still a great looking wheel. They look too stock to me.
505A's I think are again, too 'stockish'. Don't vettes come with wheels that kinda look like that?

Re: Which wheels for the new Corvette?
I like SP500s, but only when you do 19s all around and slam the car on the ground. But then the stock brakes look so tiny back there w/ such an open wheel.
I had my mind set of FM-5s, but the fact that CCW is doing brushed center classics has me reconsidering. 505As look good, but I think they're too common.

Yeah Fikse's are a bit "plain" but that's why they never go out of style.
No... no stock wheel looks like the 505A... it became so popular because the shape fits the C5s curvey lines quite well.
BTW - if you don't like the 3 I've posted I'm open to suggestions.
