I know... but it's still impressive. Many older people think older cars are safer becuase they're heavier. The Malibu here is 34xxlbs and the '59 is 36xxlbs.
'59 has no crumple zones, no airbags, no shoulder belt, and no collapsable steering column.

Crazy. I always assumed that the big ass chunks of steel they made back in the day would obliterate a newer car. I'll take the Malibu please.
