A Vintage Beetle Deserves A Vintage Photoshoot
Since having my dslr camera and gear stolen about a month ago, I've been forced to shoot strictly film. That hasn't stop me from making the most of the circumstances and came up with this idea.
I decided to meet up with Trace (lbs_ft) to shoot his 66' Volkswagen Beetle with my 1940's Argus C3 film camera. My intentions were to not only showcase the car, but more importantly place it in a setting that would take you back in time and really put the car in the past, as if you were looking through your parents photo book and saw these from when they were young. I hope you all can really appreciate this shoot and my vision. Some may not fully understand my intentions and will just see things for what they are - low quality photos with a beat up beetle. That's okay, this isn't for everyone, but as a photographer I got the exact results I was going for, and couldn't be happier. **These photos are straight from the camera and were not edited AT ALL. That's the magic of film and shooting with a camera from the 40's, thanks guys. :) Justin The camera for those who are curious (The exact model seen in the Harry Potter movies) http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/6943528952/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/6943528952/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355132849/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355132849/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8356238474/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8356238474/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8356754176/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8356754176/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355691365/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355691365/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355543743/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355543743/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8356384172/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8356384172/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355225133/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8355225133/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8354873039/http://www.flickr.com/photos/philakilla/8354873039/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/philakilla/, on Flickr |

I dig these really hard, but it looks like the camera may have moved for a couple of them, did you get to use a tripod? Does that camera even have the ability to use a remote shutter switch? Lol.
