I sure will. As soon as I pick it up and get it back to the house I will have full detailed pictures of all that needs replacing on this beast.


I kind of have a little suspension rundown. The front will consist of a 4" narrowed beam with a dual bag setup with 3.5" drop spindles, raised steering box and maybe 2" tubs depending on how low it goes.

The rear will have a '67 bug transaxle with offset dropped spring plates with a custom bag setup. Nothing crazy, just enough to get her closer to the pavement.

Yeah man, let me know if you have any questions. Taught myself metalwork growing up with rusty ghias and that good buddy founded tidewater type 2. Best part is like you said, lots of virgin replacement metal out there and even cheaper donors.

I woulda kept the turbo beetle but I've always been more a type 1 guy.
