Looks like he was counter steering to try and save it just as he came off the curbing, but the car wanted to continue to slide left and once the 2 wheels went off and the ground dipped away like that it was all over.

Actually all things considered he got off light.... most tracks just have steel armco or at best a tire wall. Most don't have that "air fence" setup at all and that's what saved the car from more damage. He says he had it back on track the next day w/ minimal damages.

I give that a 9.5 for the landing, he would have gotten a 10, but there was a lot of head movement towards the finish which just looks sloppy for a professional

it was super slow motion jimmy
If that c6 wasn;t riding his ass for whatever reason I am sure he could of slammed on his brakes or just let it spin

That wasn't a C6, they're both C5s. And no... slamming your braks in that situation is the last thing you want to do... you want to keep your foot in the throttle to keep your rearward weight bias which keeps traction in the rear to mitigate the spin. If the ground to the left of the track hadn't fallen away he'd have been fine, but once he hit that it sucked him down and it was over.
